Creating Opportunity Through Education

Heartland Academy (HA) is an internationally supported higher secondary school. HA, being the first Nepalese school practicing democracy in a true sense, is a center of excellence where the students will have a chance to grow academically as well as other aspects. Our major focus is definitely an academic excellence however; we also help them excel in social arena through our special outreach programs. The school is equipped with labs, enough library materials and all the necessary equipments.


The main strength of this democratic and violence-free school is to help produce manpower needed for the challenging world. For that, the CLCR (The Center of Learning and Children’s Rights) Australia has been remained as the backbone of the school. Not only the CLCR has been assisting to train the staff members but also providing financial as well as resource materials for the overall development of the school.

Heartland Academy(HA) is a democratic school practicing quality and non-violent education which provides co-educational education from nursery all the way through to Plus Two. There are also plans to offer various vocational courses in partnership with CTEVT Nepal. This extension is being supported and coordinated by CLCR Australia and Nepal, Global Development Group (GDG), Rotary International, Rotary Club of Lane Cove, Sydney Australia, Rotary Club of Kathmandu West, the LBW Trust Australia and its global partners from UK, New Zealand, Australia, Nepal and other countries. At HA, we provide an extremely child friendly educational environment that is violence free and caters to each individual's learning and developmental needs. Heartland is a not for profit educational instution with a service motive, operating to support educational development across all of Nepal in line with the United Nations Millennium Development Goals. We are working towards establishing HA as a Model School within Kathmandu -- and Nepal --through the provisions of an expansive environment, outstanding facilities, curricula, resources and systems of international standards.

What we do?
